In March 2025, several of us are taking part in the 30-Day Math Puzzle Coach4aday Challenge. Each day, a new puzzle is posted, giving readers twenty-four hours to solve it before the correct answer and explanation appear in the following day’s blog—alongside the next challenge. Today’s math puzzle #5 is about DICE.

30-Day Challenges serve a purpose of self-improvement. Solving math puzzles strengthens critical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills by challenging the brain to recognize patterns and think creatively. It also helps improve memory and cognitive flexibility, keeping the mind sharp and engaged. There are many over the counter supplements for memory enhancement claiming to help us do this but exercising the brain is still better in my opinion.
Yesterday’s math puzzle was about Bowling and that answer can be found at the end of the post.
Math Puzzle 30-Day Challenge Guidelines
Unlike previous challenges the Math Puzzle will appear just on the Coach4aday blog. To participate you go that site each day. The rules are simple.

Math Puzzle #4-Answer
Yesterday’s puzzle was called the Bull’s Eye.
The challenge was to determine how many points has Archer B scored if we know that Archer A has a total of 55. There are 10 zones headed to the center of the Bull’s Eye with each one growing in ascending order towards the center.

CORRECT ANSWER is 30 points. The outer zone is worth 1 point, then 2, 3, etc. The center is worth 10 points. 5 + 8 + 8 + 9 = 30.
