Today contribution to the 30-Day Letter Writing Coach4aday Challenge is on taking a CRUISE.

The challenge involves composing a letter to yourself when you were an earlier age. The goal is to focus on a value, habit, or choice that needs to be adopted or made.

When you have only done something once it doesn’t classify you as an expert but if you get it correct you do have confidence. That is the core of my letter today. In 2015 my wife and I went on our one and only CRUISE. We got advice from a friend and made sure to utilize his wisdom.

Day 28-Letter-Booking a Cruise

July 2015

Dear Married for 30 Years Dan:

You have a friend who has gone on some 35 plus cruises. He will boast that often he and his wife will sometimes decide within days to just book a trip somewhere. So, for your 30th Anniversary you want to go on your first ever trip on a ship. You will do a five night itinerary on the Grandeur of the Seas.

Grandeur of the Seas

He will tell you his secret of browsing Vacations to Go and focusing on their 90 Day Ticker for almost all of his bookings. His guidance comes from the fact that if you book your cruise within a few weeks of departure often you can save 82% off the regular price.

One example is if you want to do a an 11-day cruise for under $400 (Inside Room) here is an itinerary for April 9, 2023.

Not all travel advice is good but researching a good deal for your 30th Anniversary turned out fantastic.

Looking for a bargain Dan
