Last week my morning devotion found in Our Daily Bread was titled Freed from Our Cage.

The story talked about a Kerry Blue Terrier who was rescued by a man. That dog became one of four the man owned. The other three dogs exhibited behavior of freedom but the rescue dog still believed it was CONFINED and would only run in a tight circle.

I have heard a similar story about elephants. The video below explains how conditioning the mind of a young elephant can cause them to believe they are CONFINED as an adult.

Marcus Aurelius the Roman Emperor has a fantastic quote

“Our life is what our thoughts make it”

What has become in vogue for a number of people is periodic fasting. The concept is fasting helps our body remove toxins that can be harmful to us. Very few people realize that toxic thoughts can limit and CONFINE us to all the wonderful possibilities that exist.

The elephant in the video above can easily break away and move about freely. As people we have the same power.

The secret is you have to think differently if you want to eliminate being CONFINED. The inability to change our inner voice can sometimes be the chains of confinement.
