Walking around a college CAMPUS makes me happy.

For 47 consecutive years I was directly connected to a university. I was a student and an employee. The vibe of a CAMPUS can be cyclical depending on the time of the academic calendar. Regardless of the month a college makes me happy.
In 2017 I wrote 365 posts on various colleges and universities. Many of them I had never visited. When I travel as a retiree it is one of my quirks to stop and walk around. I did that last week at The University of Memphis and Rhodes College.

The grounds, buildings, various architectural styles, and small tuck away vistas of college CAMPUS all bring to me a sense of tranquility.
I owe a lot to East Carolina University in Greenville NC. Spent 6 years obtaining two degrees and began my fascination with higher education. That campus along with UNC Pembroke have all gone under tremendous transformations.
Today I will be working on the campus of North Alabama University in my role as a consultant. Don’t know how the workday will go but being on their CAMPUS is setting me up for a happy day.
