During this month’s 30 Day Knot Tying #Coach4adayChallenge I have been looking for example of everyday knots. I found a BUTTON Knot on a lanyard used for a game credential.

Traditionally this knot can be substituted when you there is no BUTTON to use on clothing. It can also be found as a decorative feature on some type of accessory.

How to Tie a Button Knot

I have to admit this new knot was challenging. Strongly suggest practicing with two different color to help learn how to successfully master this knot. Apparently the BUTTON Knot has applications in sailing.

Located several good video tutorials.

Here is the first one on how to tie a BUTTON Knot to create a Soft Shackle

The second video is a much slower pace but I found it helpful.
