Today’s contribution to the 30-Day Musical Instrument Coach4aday Challenge is on the BARITONE SAXOPHONE.

In the family of saxophones, the Baritone is larger and has a much deeper pitch. It is classified as a woodwind instrument. Musicians might refer to it as a “Bari-Sax“.

With some of the pervious instruments that have been featured in this challenge they can be purchased on Amazon for not an extravagant price. That may not be the case with many Baritone Saxophone.

NYC Subways and Baritone Sax players.

It has been quite a while since I traveled to NYC and rode the subway. Sometimes out of nowhere musicians can appear on train platforms like Union Station or Herald Square and they call it “busking“. One of the best subway groups Too Many Zoozs features Leo Pellegrino or better known as “Leo P.” He is known for fantastic sounds coming from his Baritone Sax along with the absolute best dance moves.

If these two videos don’t make you fall in love with the Baritone Sax what’s wrong with you?

The BBC Proms or Proms are formally known as the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts. It is considered the greatest classical music festival in the world. Look at what he did in front of a classical music orchestra.

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
