#ArtWork June 1

For the month of June 2024 several of us are going to take on the 30-Day Artwork Coach4aday Challenge. The simple concept is to learn something or appreciate products that use ARTWORK on their labels or packaging.
Growing up in the 1960’s and 1970’s I always was intrigued by the artwork you would find on record album covers. The image below is from Santana and the album was called Abraxas.
Today that fascination is with beer bottles and cans. My focus the entire month will be on artwork found on some of my favorite brews. The challenge is not limited to beer it can be anything.
Artwork 30-Day Challenge Guidelines
Like previous challenges there are no hard and fast rules to participate. There are a few suggested guidelines.
- Each day in June learn something or just appreciate the artwork found on some product
- Share that knowledge with others
- If so inclined use the hash tag #Coach4adayChallenge on social media platforms
June 1st-Beer Artwork and Labels
Two weeks ago, I sat in the Mellow Mushroom in Roanoke VA and stared at walls covered with beer cans all vintage 1979. That wall got me talking about all the neat things I have seen on beer cans and beer bottles over the years. That was the genesis for the idea for this month challenge.
I’m kicking off the month with one of my favorites go to beers is called “A Little Sumpin-Sumpin Ale” by Lagunitas Brewing. The artwork below featured a pin-up girl when I first started drinking it, but they have done a logo refresh.
