In June 2025, many of us are taking part in the 30-Day “On This Date” Coach4aday Challenge. Each day, the challenge encourages participants to engage in a meaningful or enjoyable activity inspired by a historical event, anniversary, or personal memory tied to that specific date. My anniversary event has to do with ALI.

June 3, 2016, is the day one of the greatest boxers of all-time Muhammad Ali formerly known as Cassisus Clay died.

On This Date-30 Day Challenge Guidelines

As with previous challenges, participants are encouraged to adapt the guidelines to fit their own circumstances. If you can, commit to think about the history of each day in June.

  1. Record something about what happened on this date. It can be an event, memory, or anniversary.
  2. Share with a challenge partner if you have one.
  3. Join the conversation by posting on social media with the hashtag #Coach4adayChallenge

June 3-Ali

Muhammad Ali had a profound impact both inside and outside the boxing ring, becoming a global icon for his athleticism, charisma, and unshakable self-belief. Many will argue that it wasn’t his impact as an athlete that made Ali an iconic 20th century personality. It was his work for social justice and civil rights.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
