May 2026 the 30-Day Coach4aday Challenge will feature travel pictures. It is a simple daily activity of posting a photo of a place that you have traveled to or a location you plan to visit. Today it is a picture of taking one of my sons to an MLB BALLGAME.

This month marks the 77th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For May 2026 participants simply commit to taking or sharing one travel-themed photo each day for 30 days. Each photo just needs to be accompanied by a simple descriptor. Hope you decide to join the 30-Day Travel Pics Coach4aday Challenge.
Day 23-Ballgame
In 2007, I took a trip to New York City and Connecticut with my youngest son and daughter. On our way back home to North Carolina, we decided to stop in Washington, DC to catch a Major League Baseball game between the Washington Nationals and the St. Louis Cardinals. It turned out to be a special season to attend, as 2007 was the Nationals’ final year playing at RFK Stadium. In 2025 work began to demolish the stadium.
My son was 9 years old at the time and completely absorbed in the game from the first pitch to the last. Looking back, it became far more than just a baseball game — it was one of those father-son memories that stays with you forever. Hoping he can do that for his two sons one day.
Here are a couple of photos. August 2007 at RFK
