April 2026 involved a slightly different approach to the 30-Day Challenge. Each day the past month, I participated in the 30-Day Tai Chi Coach4aday Challenge. My daily posts weren’t limited to that day’s exercises—I shared more spontaneous and wide-ranging thoughts along the way.

For Day 30 my post is a RECAP.

“Tai Chi” 30 Day Challenge

Searching online for a 30-Day program brought me face to face with lots of options but I have chosen a plan led by Dr Alan Potts PT. You can download the schedule I am utilizing at this link.

It looks like this.

Challenge Guidelines

  1. View the daily video and mirror what you see.
  2. Complete all 30 daily exercises

April 30th-Recap on Tai Chi

This challenge pushed me well outside my comfort zone. On Day 1, within the first five minutes, I felt self-conscious and awkward trying to mirror Alan’s movements—nothing came easily, and every motion felt choppy rather than smooth. What surprised me most was how limited my range of motion was in my shoulders and arms.

By the end of 30 days, I could feel real improvement and greater flexibility. I wasn’t graceful or fluid yet, but I got better and showed up to complete each day’s routine.

After a few weeks of consistent practice, I noticed:

  • A calmer baseline mood
  • Better body awareness and breathing
  • Moments of quiet focus during or after practice

Plan to stack some of these exercises to my morning routine.
