June 2026 several of us are going to take on the 30-Day Movie Scene Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we share a YouTube clip from a movie and explain what is intriguing about that particular scene. It is a simple daily activity of sharing a Movie Scene.
From June 11 to July 19, 2026, the World Cup will be held across various locations in North America. It is without doubt the most watched sporting event across the globe. Yet in the 1960’s and 1970’s America was more fascinated with the WORLD SERIES. My chosen scene today comes from the 1975 film “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and the vote to watch baseball.

This month marks the 78th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For June 2026 participants simply commit to sharing one movie scene from a film. Each scene just needs to be accompanied by a simple explanation on what is happening or why it was chosen. Hope you decide to join us or enjoy the clips we share
Day 14-World Series
In “One Flew Over the Cuckoo Nest” Randle McMurphy played by Jack Nicholson wants the patients to watch the World Series on television instead of following the ward’s normal schedule. He convinces many of the patients to raise their hands in favor of changing the routine, but Nurse Ratched played by Louise Fletcher refuses to count some of the votes and declares that the motion has failed.
Video Clip-Day 14
This scene ends with McMurphy frustration when the vote does not go his way to change the schedule.
