Taking a TRIP often results in me experiencing happiness.

Today I am getting ready to embark on a trip that will take me thru several southeastern states. The itinerary includes places I will visit for the first time. Part of the excursion will have me working with clients but there will be opportunity for personal time. TRIP planning before you embark is important.

My wife and I have both been planning on what to do on those off days. Work will take us close to a city we have never toured before. Neither one of us has ever really experienced Memphis and that is one of our chosen TRIP destination.

In Memphis we have planned to take a Riverboat Cruise on the Mississippi, Dine on some Memphis Style Barbecue, and listening to blues artists somewhere on Beale Street. I feel quite certain that John Tanner and others will offer up some advice and guidance on what to see and what to do.

Travelling provides us experiences and perspective. Often times it is not the destination but just the journey that makes me happy. Conversations in the car, listening to podcasts or music, and seeing something magical.

Every time I travel even if the destination is what many would consider local I try to see if I can have an experience that will broaden my mind or increase my gratitude. When I approach a TRIP in that way seldom am I disappointed. Happiness often is directly connected to our attitude about traveling.

Just anticipating how this TRIP will turn out make me happy.
