#Swap January 22

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Last week on a rainy Tuesday I wanted to find something to read so I went browsing on Paperback SWAP (PBS).

A SWAP meet is gathering where people attempt to barter or sell used goods. It can happen in lots of environments including on the web. A lot of small towns still have radio stations that host SWAP meets over the air. For example in Morehead City NC you have WTKF-FM 107.1 that hosts a SWAP shop 6 days a week over the air

When it comes to books Paperback SWAP is a very popular way for readers to exchange books they want to get rid of with books they want to own. You create an account, post books you’re willing to part with, members request them, and you ship them off. In return you receive “credits” that you use to request books from other users.

I had three credits in my account so I decided to go browsing to see if I could find a SWAP.

I found a book “Simple Acts to Change the World” that might be an idea generator for future posts so I ordered it.

The internet has created all different types of SWAP meets.

If you are into looking to SWAP other items besides books here is a link to other SWAP sites.

Happy bartering!
