#Restart June 15

If you are like me you receive those annoying reminders that your computer or even your phone needs to RESTART in order to load some new program or update.

In our personal and professional lives it is equally frustrating to admit that you have to RESTART something.

I often reflect that the reason I have to RESTART any task is because of a very common mistake. Did I allow enough time to do the job correctly in the first place. Did I misjudge what it would take to complete it correctly and then decided to cut some corners with time saving short cuts. The result often is you have to RESTART.

I once read a quote by UCLA’s legendary basketball coach John Wooden. He was recalling lessons his dad taught him on the farm growing up in Indiana.

If you do not have the time to do it right, when will you have time to RESTART and do it over?

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
