Today I want to RECAP the latest #Coach4adayChallenge. This month it was a Savings Challenge.

Well the month has ended and I have been able to save my goal of $1,000. I was able to do this by greatly reducing expenses in a couple of areas along with getting a few consulting gigs. The bulk of the savings came from reducing rather than increasing revenue.

So I was able to reduce expenses in the following areas:

  1. Eliminating going out to eat
  2. Eliminating craft beer purchases
  3. Attempting to go the entire month without buying gasoline for my car

I have to give full disclosure the first part of the month I was still recovering from COVID and I had given up drinking beer. The biggest saving area was foregoing dining out. The elimination of that happening 4-6 times a month added up. The weather and my health greatly reduced my need to go anywhere in the car so I was able to go the entire month on one tank of gas. My only trip were to the golf course. I also secured one speaking engagement that I was not counting on that pushed me over the top.

Tomorrow it is on to a new #Coach4adayChallenge for the month of March. I hope when you see it you will join in.
