My youngest brother Thomas Kenney died at the age of 62 in 2019.

He got diagnosed with lung cancer in 2018. In February of 2019 I along with my brother Patrick went to visit him at his home in Belgrade, Maine. During that visit I found out he had a fascination with cribbage.

Cribbage was invented in the early 1600s by Sir John Suckling, an English courtier, poet, gamester and gambler.

Cribbage is a CARD game for two or three players, in which the objective is to play so that the value of one’s cards played reaches exactly 15 or 31. There is a board that goes with the game to help you keep score.

My brother taught me how to play this game of CARDS on that visit and I play almost everyday online.

During the visit we played every evening at 5pm. When I returned home to North Carolina I told my brother there was an online CRIBBAGE app. We both downloaded it with the assistance of our children and continued to play almost every day around 5PM until he died.

For the record my brother cleaned my clock from the moment he taught me the game until he died. I got better but not as good as he was.
